Hi everyone,
this is my first post on these forums, so here goes.
Does anyone have a pattern for bogu bag? I would like to make my own (I have some special material that I would like to use). I know how to use a sewing machine etc and I realise that the material needs to be quite thick.
If anyone does have a sewing pattern for bogu bag then please let me know:cheeky:

I think that you won't find a pattern, if you are good at sewing, I would recommend that look a lot a finished one or if you don't have the oportunity, just take a look at google images (http://images.google.com) and copy an easy one.

That was the way I helped my mom when we did my shinai bag.

Just remember, the base of you bag need to be strong and it's recommended that attach four mini bases.

How strong a bag do you want? If you use heavy canvas, you'll probably need an industrial sewing machine, I use a domestic one and three or four layers of 10,000 thread hakama cloth is about the limit- even with the correct needles for the fabric and extra-strong thread.

I think one could make the draw-string style bags. Many of them seem to be a heavier fabric, but made of a cotton cloth, not canvas. Actually, if you get the sizing right, it would probably be as easy as a shinai bag...easier actually aside from the drawstring...but even that's not so hard I don't think.

I was thinking of using cotton drill fabric, probably doubled up. I realise that it will be pretty easy to make, but was just wondering if anyone had a pattern. I have made my own shinai/bokken bag (I really object to paying over £20 for one). I do have the original canvas bogu bag but I dont want to take it to bits to make a pattern :)
