Hmm, I've never seen bogu like that. The tsuki and kote looked they were covered with black vinyl?

Yup, cheapest of the cheap Taiwanese bogu. Those kote tear really easily.

Cheapest of the cheap. Thank you for the input. I still do not have bogu but don't know the difference between crap and top quality bogu. Slowly I am getting more information.

Waaay back I had a set with Vinyl kote - I found that gaffer tape did an excellent job of strengthening them ;-)

Any one here saw or used the bogubag special deal bogu $350.00 (gz-17)? How is it, I need to know real bad.

Nguyen, I have not seen that set, but I will say everything I have seen from bogubag.com is quality equipment. They have great prices and Robert Stroud is extremely helpful. Kendoshop also has good equipment for very cheap. But if you have a problem their service is shyte.
