hello :) i am a 16 yr old who will start kendo on july, i would like to buy armor in advance... my height is 164cm and my weight is 125lbs. i was wondering if it was a 2mm, 3mm or 4mm size bougu? and how do i measure my head size?

2mm, 3mm or 4mm refers to how tight the stitching on the padding is, not size (tighter is usually better and more expensive). For size, see here: http://www.bogubag.com/Bogu/Sizing/bogu_sizing.html

Shouldn't you wait to see if you're going to practice kendo for long before dishing out so much money? Plenty of people quit in the first six months, and you haven't even tried it yet.
