She's pretty good (hahaha) but I thoght for a moment that she would have done the tsuki of hell, not a plain tsuki.

Good one but still don't know why you post it in Women's forum.

Well, because, really, doesn't this happen all the time? I mean, I can't even count the number of times that I have faced a woman in the kendo dojo, leaped a dozen feet into the air, only to be stopped by a powerful tsuki. Really, I think it's a gender issue.

(No, seriously, I flipped a coin to post it here or in media.)

Ok, that explains it.. But more like a powerfull tsuki I saw just a great kamae. HAHAHAHA!

I do remeber that happend to me (not like with the super jump) but one of my sempais were about to attacking me and insted of trying to attack myself I jst kept my kamae stong and he tsuki himself really awful. But I had a good laugh and his complais: "Hey, tsuki does not count and things like that and I did not meant a tsuki in the first place!

I don't understand the language but I wonder why the guy character almost drops his shinai when she taps his men. Perhaps he is in love with her.

Okay, now how many times has this happened? I swear, this kind of thing happens at our dojo all the time.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFHfXrrD-vw

The girl likes Junki after seeing him at the performance thing... But he was going out with the other girl. But she still tries to get closer to him by playing the same sport as him. She then learns that he was in a chemical accident and lost his vision. His girlfriend then switched one eyeball with him. So when she cried, a tear came out of his eye. His eyesight is diminishing again and the girl fights him in a kumdo match, but he can't fight back. Then when she was drunk, she cries and it falls on his cheek and he kind of understands how she feels about him. They were al still building a hot air balloon at the time. And I think that they went up on it to help the girl get rid of her fear of heights? That part is more obvious in the second MV though. But he walks away with his girlfriend after the ride.

Yo Charlie!

If you like korean films these are a few good ones:

1) JSA(Joint Security Area) Its about a border incident on the DMZ between North Korea and South Korea. A shooting takes place on the NK side and 3 NK soldiers are killed by what seems to be a single South Korean soldier. The North's side of the incident states the guy burst in and shot everyone. The south say that their soldier was out having a dump and was kidnapped by the north korean soldiers and he escaped, shooting his captors in the process. The first 20mins dealing is a bit dry...but as the truth of the incident is revealed the movie becomes pretty amazing...

2) Taegukgi...epic story about two south korean brothers forced into the army to fight the north. How the elder brother sacrifices all to protect his younger brother...and how it changed them inside...the older brother becoming a killing machine with pure hatred for the North and the younger seeing their actions(such as shooting surrendering troops) as no better than the brutality of the north...great movie...has been compared to Saving Private Ryan...but I think its only as far as the effect in the fight scenes...other than that...this movie I think, has a very well developed plot and character insight which was lacking with Saving Ryan's Privates.

3) Oldboy...this is one twisted yet amazing film...Oh Dae Su...an everyday salary man is kidnapped off the streets one day. He simply vanishes from the world and wakes to find himself locked in a room with no windows...his only contact with the outside world is through a television and the grate inwhich his captors deliver his meals. He's imprisoned for over 15 years...first going slightly insane in the first 3 but then regaining his sanity, he trains his body and mind to one single purpose. Escaping and finding the one's responsible to kill them. But on the 15 year of his captivity, he is drugged and released seemingly as sudden as his capture...thus begins his journey to find "why?"
I can't really say more than for you to go watch it because it will blow you away...

4) Friend (Chingu), great film about 4 friends growing up in Korea. Two become gang members and the other two become respectible citizens but still retain their friendship. That is until the pair that are gangsters have a falling out and end up being in rival gangster groups.

Its actually a very touching movie about the friendship between the gang boss and his straight and narrow friend...there's a classic scene where they have not seen each other for ages and the gangster dude becomes a Boss. So they are having some bulgogi and souchu and the Boss is saying how he basically is doing korea a public service by taking all the unwanted kids or rejects and giving them a job and purpose. His mate, replies in a very frank statement, "What the hell? A gangster trying to be a Sage? fuck, com'n man...you're nothing but a thug!"

At which point, two henchmen off to the side give the friend an evil look to which the Boss says, "Oi! You two! Come here...what gives you the right to give my FRIEND such a fucked look? You both don't deserve to eat...go sit in the trunk of the car and contemplate your future!"

The next shot has the Boss piggybacking his buddy home and the limo driving slowly next to them with the two henchmen sitting in the boot.

5) Attack the Gas Station! Hahaha...this movie is great. 4 young street punks rob a gas station. Then they decide to rob it again then next night...why? Because they're bored...discovering no cash(the owner hid it under his desk in a box) they decide to hide the staff and owner and pretend to be attendants to steal the cash that the customers would pay...A good solid plan...but as in life nothing goes according to the plan...hilarity ensues...

6) Fighter in the Find. A very dressed up version about the life of Choi Baedel (Mas Oyama) the founder of Kyokushin karate. Basically, he's this korean guy that gets his arse kicked around the dojo by some Japanese karateka and then he decides to go into seclusion in the mountains to train and then emerges as some cross between Ryu and Akuma and proceeds to destroy every dojo in Japan...there's even a kendo vz karate scene in it...

7) My Tutor Friend - A bit like my Sassy Girl but its the roles reversed...funny none the less.

8) Windstruck...hahahaha...basically its meant to be a prequal to My Sassy Girl but isn't really...though the guy from My Sassy Girl does appear. Its not a bad movie for a boring nite in...but kinda like watching a neither here no there copy of my sassy girl.

I'll think of more later but the one's above are pretty good.

Thanks, KML! The only Korean movies I've ever seen are Shiri and The Way Home (both excellent). I've always been a big fan of Asian cinema and they were showing quite a few Korean movies on the Asian TV channel in my area (before they yanked that channel to us poor folks that only pay for basic cable, the bastards). Been meaning to see Old Boy - I tell you, watching movies was so much easier before I got married and had children! Obviously, these movies are inappropriate for kids and my wife doesn't like violence so sometimes I have to take a day off and hole up with my VCR/DVD player for several hours of bullet ballet and kung fu madness...

the prequel to this movie, my sassy girl 2, explains why the girl is weird like that... it was really sad though.

This reminds me of that Kurosawa film which tells the story of what may or may not have been a rape and the death of a samurai which may or may not have been at the hands of a bandit. I don't remember the name of the film, but it's the story of the same events told from several different viewpoints.
