The last time I counted I was in Singapore. Was in a sushi boat place. I had 12 plates. That should work out to about 24.

Just thought I would poll people. I've had 30+ pieces at one sitting. It was my own version of the California roll (same ingredients but the nori is on the outside like futomaki). :bandit:

One of the instructors I train with stuffed himself with sushi for a bet. He ate 81 pieces but then threw up so I don't know whether it really counts.

J-sensei loves telling that story so you should ask him if you ever get the chance. I think both participants ended up hurling but he won 81-80. The loser had to foot the bill.

Before my time. I don't think anyone would have been any "looser". They were eating sushi, not vindaloo.
Sure sounds like a waste of good food.

I have always wanted to eat Sushi but I have never been to a proper Sushi restaurant (my girlfriend refuses to try it). I refuse to buy it from a supermarket as it would probably spoil it for me for life!
Anyone know a really good sushi place in the UK (I live near Ascot so could get into London if needed)?

There's a sushi place around here where I tried my first authentic sushi dishes. I can't say I like the raw fish sushi that appealing, I mean it tastes alright, but nothing to write home about. And after eating two tuna sushi It started to taste like blood. Good thing i found out you eat the ginger after eating a sushi. I liked the tempura the most, and the rolls, which were mainly american style rolls.
