That's because it's not an ending.
It was never meant to be an ending (hence revolutions being released later in the year).
Read the review on the link I posted for some insights into what the movie was attempting to achieve. Did it pretty well given the ambition of the script, imnsho.

Analysis of this type of movie is worthless. The message is “how can I take your money again”.

Ares 2907 tries to educate me on the finer, deeper meaning of the movie.

It is my F-----G opinion of the movie isn’t it?

Look at the way he writes. Supposedly tounge in cheek. Who’s cheek he has his tounge in I don’t care to know, but telling me “It was never meant to be an ending”, “did pretty well given the ambition of the script”, “some people are wound too tightly” is arrogant.

Arrogant: “Making claims or pretensions to superior importance or rights”.

Wound too tightly? Maybe, but he should be able to take the sh— he readily dishes out.
