Where to buy zekken from?

usually the dojo orders zekken from the same vendor for the whole group, or at least ours used to until our source ran out.

with this one, you definitely want to check with sensei or sempai and find out what the properly 'rule' is for your dojo and what they recommend for the zekken.

You want a zekken that is a close as possible to that of your dojo mates. Since every manufacturer does it differently..... ask your sensei.

As a dojo we had to change suppliers this year. It has taken us 8 months to date to find another that can replicate what we already have.

Every so often someone comes back to the club with a version of our zekken that no one remembers seeing. I wonder how many versions we have had since 1956?

It would be cool to try to do a compilation on our website of all the zekken that we can find to show the history of our dojo.
