maybe some of the iaido people that do kendo can tell us if the kime yubi and the chikara yubi...and all the other yubis actually work if you us them in kendo. Sorry if i got the names of the yubi wrong, i do not now much about iaido. I just heard about the use of yubi and kendo a few days ago, and i wanted to know if it works or not? do you get a cleaner cut/hit? is it more powerful? does it help your kime?

FYI "Yubi" means "finger" in Japanese.

No yubi = no kendo

mrkurukuru, you're asking how using the fingers a certain way can improve your kendo, right? Aside from what we're usually taught?

It'll be interesting to see where this thread goes.

Is yubi how one's fingers change depending on the grip of the tsuka one uses, like from a batto to a cut to a chiburi?
