Hey everyone, I was at the annual 2006 MKF taikai this past weekend and I forgot to bring my camera (bummer!).

My question is, does anyone here have any pictures or videos they took during the event? Or know of any clubs that did?

I make it a habit to always take photos or record with a camcorder at these, but this year I forgot and I'd really like to see what everyone has from it.

Thanks,

Hi Holmgren-san

We (U-M) took about 200-300 digital pictures across 2 cameras, and we have about an hours worth of unedited video footage.

I haven't had much time to post stuff on our official website but I did put up a few pictures on my facebook profile, but most of them are specific to our club. Dunno if I have any pictures of people from GR.

Oh that's fine. I wasn't necessarily looking for pictures of GR people.

That's cool though, because it's always fun to look at pictures or video from an event your were just at. I'll take a look.

I have a few pictures and about 2.5 hours of video footage. I've yet to do anything with the video due to lack of time though.

Let us know, guys! I wasn't able to attend and would love to see it, too. You know, the Battle Creek and MSU clubs usually put up a few pics, too.

I versed Travis Hill, the winner of the Senior Youth division.

Chicago Kendo Dojo won the Teams Division, I had a really close seat on the floor for their matches.

Mugu, I think the Team that won was Chicago A. Our team (Grand Rapids) lost to them in the semi's.

I watched Narumoto, he's is very very good. K. Yoshida (from Battle Creek, our big-brother dojo) lost to him in the finals of sandan & up.

Also, I lost to Matsuo in the mudansha finals. He's really quick.........and good. :ko:

And they also won the drinking game after at the banquet, lol

The final was pretty interesting, Yoshida san looked down thinking Narumoto sensei got his kote, bam! Mennnnn! Though, the Tsuki Narumoto sensei scored in the semi-final literally made my jaw dropped, lol I'll tell you why Narumoto sensei is that good if you like in a PM :D

Also, I lost to Matsuo in the mudansha finals. He's really quick.........and good. :ko:
Guess who was my first opponent in Mudansha? You've guessed it! Matsuo! lol :dead:
