Seriously, a shinai light pen?...I'd get one. A 'do' or 'men' mouse-mat too, with customizable zekken...
I have doubts over the comfort of a tatami mouse pad though & the fact that it's be hard to use, wouldn't it give you a massive blister?

What you want to do is make a mini-shinai stylus for pocket computer users. Build it like those 3-way pens... if you cut "men", a hard plastic stylus for touch-screens pops out; if you cut "migi-men", a mechanical pencil; if you cut "hidari-men", a ballpoint pen. :)
