...well it is quite large. I think about 75cm or so measured in the usual way.

My question is - if you get hand-stitched men made for you, is it "made-to-measure" or are they all made the same shape? Seems to me that a correctly fitted men would make a big difference to your Kendo.

And how long do Japanese Kendo shops take to make a men? Could I go in for a fitting and expect to collect two weeks later?

i think they're made to your measurements...

time depends on quality requested...custum made equipment usually takes a lot longer than already made equipment (well duh)

I feel your pain Dave.

Most places that sell hand stitched bogus ask for your measurments on all of the parts. Head, waist etc. Even still you can probably e-mail them (or contact any way) and ask if they can give you a different size men with a smaller do, kote, and tare.
Maybe they can give you a bigger men.
