Good to see more HNIR seminars springing up in the UK.
Worthwhile to thank those people who have been busting their arses going to seminars all over the place and travelling to Japan to train with Iwami Soke so that they can help introduce people to the art in the UK.

Quebec french is plain weird to me.... I deal with a load of proper French people at work, and they shrug a lot and move while they talk. I was on holiday one time and met a group from quebec... it was like listening to someone reading fom a book, with a slightly scots accent. Strange to put it mildly... and I think proper french people struggle to understand them. A bit like us Brits and the Yanks, its English, but not as we know it Jim...

Aparrently, his initial attempt at spreading the love around has been met with some derailment and thread-hijacking into topics that satisfy the prurient interest, as well as some cheap shots at the Canadian national identity.
On the positive side, a semi-nude portrait of Gibson-san has not appeared to completely kill the mood of comradely good fellowship.

Congratulations guys. Fantastic to see the progression of HNIR in the UK.
I remember Jari sneaking me into the Leeds University sports hall in order for us to practice Niten. I seem to remember lending him a kodachi, which I promptly broke in half doing nagashi-uchi. Luckily he didn't drag it along the side of my neck that time.

Although Id like to say that England doesnt touch Scotland (and Wales) i regrettfully have to admit that it does. Therefore the definition of England as an island is, in fact, incorrect. Soggy perhaps, but not an island.

I don't remember that. I was practicing with a French feller and he did ukenagashi with his hands directly over his head, without moving. I think his thumbe got split open. He left some blood on the floor as I remember. I felt really terrible after that.
That was the same day Colin sent my bokuto flying to the other side of that enourmous sports hall.
