hrmm...kote is probably one thing i would worry about.. is it beneficial to get a 2/3 mm than a 5/6 mm kote ? does it really last better in an economical sense ?

Depends on quality in general. I don't recommend 5/6 mm kote to anybody as they generally aren't enough protection. OTOH you can get a cheap 3 mm set with cowskin palm and have the palm gone in 2 years. I have a good 3 mm set with deerskin palm (S-22 from Koei) that are still going strong after 5 years, only one small hole in the palm. But they cost as much as a complete cheap 5mm set from kendoshop. You gets what you pays for.

hey pokie speaking of kote don't you just hate it when motadachi's (spelling?) flinch right at the last minute as you are about to hit their kote...damn that's annoying

yeh man watching people flinch when about to get hit on the kote is like an indication of how people wud react to a kote cut in areal match...iv seen so many times someone hits the kote..flinch then men..soooo exicting lahh
