Hi all, does anyone know where I can buy a few pairs of the white gloves that can be worn inside kote?

I am particularly after the Hasegawa gloves. I have a few pairs of others, they are a bit slow/difficult to put on. I have seen the Hasegawas in use and they seem better to work with.

(it's because I (yuk) sweat a lot during training)

Any ideas??

Not to be a pain in the arse but don't you think wearing them will make you sweat even more? I see my students wearing them all the time. I never checked but I think they are not made out of some high-tech fabric but just plain old cotton. Like I said not sure though.

Haha...I started that fad in my dojo. But I still use 'em today. Got a bunch of the hasegawa ones, very nice. And they do keep the kote less wet from the sweat.

I guess they're good for some people. I think if I ever used them I'd sweat even more.

sorta like putting sweat absorbers in the men. For me its just a personal hygine thing.

Well I use a chin pad. I guess it's kind of like the same thing. Certainly keeps the chin area of the menbuton very clean.

No, I really do lose a lot and drying kote is a challenge sometimes. I currently use another brand, but the Hasegawas are designed specifically for use in kendo.

And cotton is perfect for this task of sweat absorption.

Hey KhawMeng where did you get yours ? Surely not at the PerthKendoguSuperStore???

Nah, ordered them from Koei and got a bunch free (cuz I spend all my money with them;)) and so I handed 'em out to my dojo mates.
