With regular maintanence bogu will last a good while, depending on the quality of the bogu and the amount you use it; years and years. You should contact the company you choose to buy from and ask them about it.

Hello!
This Question is very very difficult to answer because it depends on which Bogu from which manufacture, the stitching quality and also very very important your way of practice. A 5mm Bogu for an example i know guy´s who would keep this bogu well and alive for more than 4 years includes well in shape kept Kote and other one´s (hard practitioners, always on Gasshukus, more then 3 times practice a week) wouldn't be able to keep this Bogu in a good shape for 2 years because of they´re hard way of practicing.

It depends...
One bogu I had lasted me for about 15 years. My current bogu is going on about 7 years. My kote last about 1 year while the rest obviously has lasted longer. I'm using bogu 3-4 times a week but I do have two sets to dry them out...

well I have a 4 - 2 mm bogu from e-bogu and it has lasted well to me for about 2 years (a bit more) it´s not looking bad either, except for the pair of kotes which i had to change since the cords were destroyed.. the palms too and the fore arm part also was getting too weak.. however, I practice 5 times a week to 3 times a week. moreover I decided to change the kotes because I study dentistry and I don´t want to risk an injury on my hands or something like it, but they could have lasted longer.

A good set can last 20 years of recreational (2-3 times/week) practice, except for the kote.
If you are low on cash and buy one of the many $300-400 sets out there, expect to be getting new kote after two or three years.

Mine has lasted 5 years so far and even the kote look almost new (I wear underkote to absorb most of the sweat). I have friends who have 10 year old bogu that they still wear at least 2 a week. Have you read Neil's how to buy bogu sticky on this forum?
