new bogu, blue side burns

Hey guys, my friend just got a new bogu, and wen he took it off, he had blue indigo dye side burns from his men. Is this normal ? Or is there a way to prevent blue side burns from happening ? I'm going to be catching public transport after training...and...yeh...u know wat i mean ? "cool side burns mate, hahah"

Being smurfie blue from new bogu or keikogi is part of kendo. That's why there's showers.

I'm glad you posted this thread Pokie, it got me thinking -- when I finally get to wear my new bogu (still waiting for parts) I will NOT use my favourite tenugui! It's predominantly white and I imagine that it would stain (someone please correct me if I'm mistaken on that point). I'll wait until my new men has finished "bleeding". Maybe I'll use a shower cap instead...
