balance of nihonto

Hi people,
I just wanted to ask if the balance of all nihonto are towards the tsuba or are there nihonto that have their balance towards the tip of the blade? Does the balance vary as in non-nihonto swords?

balance varies as in other blades across the world. I have two iaito that are totally different, one with weight near the hilt, the other at the kissaki. If you are looking for a new one for yourself, try to get one that feels light in the hands and feels like it would cut when you use it...
