Hi!
I'm gonna do a trip through Europe and would like to take a chance to visit some kendo shops since where I live I allways have to order by the internet.
So I'm going to be at:
- Budapest
- Prague
- Bratislava
- Vienna
- Berlin
I'm leaving really soon so all answers are very welcome!
cheers

Hello!

That won´t change even if you travel to these European City´s i just know about one shop which has a store you can visit and check out equipment and this one is some sort of "unique" in europe. Bogu shops or bogu-ya you may know from japan doesn´t exist in europe. Kendo is not "popular" enough in europe so that someone could life from the money he earn´s through his bogu shop.
I can speak for Vienna and Berlin that there you may find very good kendo club´s but not kendo shop´s maybe some Gun Shop´s which sell cheap made really bad shinai. I think in Budapest, Prague and Bratislava it will be the same.

In Hungary we don't have a kendo shop. People always order stuff online. I think that's the same in the other cities you mentioned, and probably in Portugal, too...
However, if you visit Budapest, you can find a couple of good kendo clubs there. Good luck.
