Few days ago I received this book:
Haruki Ogawa (小川 春喜)
"Jissen no Tame Kendo Koza" (実戦のための剣道講座)

It is in japanese, but I think that it can work out even for people who don't know anything about japanese language because the book is provided with tons of pictures all of which are very explanatory and easy to understand.
I'm in the process of going through it, but for what I have seen until now it seems like a very well done and interesting work. Expecially - for me - the jōdan no waza ("上段 の 技") part going from page 149 to 218 (both techniques from jōdan than how to counter a jōdan fighter).
Does anyone else here know this book?

I think that it's the best technical breakdown available. The photos are good and his writing is very clear. A really great reference guide for pretty much any technique you'd like to know about.
