I want a poster thats somehow related to Kendo to hang in my dorm room. I've scoured the net and come up with nothing.

Anybody know where I could find something like this? You'd think with all the other Kendo related merchandise out there that some kind of Poster would be available.

Thanks

You can get the 12th WKC poster from: http://www.kendochampionships.com/kendochampionships.htm, click on the shop link at the bottom of the page.

Phorest,

If you remind me before the JCCC tournament in November I'll bring you one of two free Sehyun kumdo poster/wallscroll/calendar they sent me with my bogu. Granted, it'll be useless as a calendar (November being a bit late in the year) but it has a big ass pic of men-nuki-dou being done. People will know you're a kendo geek instantly... the chicks might find it weird though.

Note: It ain't really pretty.

I can also bring you one of the left over posters from the McGill Taikai designed by none other than Mingshi "I can drink Moocow and Tenken under the table" Wan. The printout ain't good but it is nicer than the Sehyun one (smaller though).

And yes, I want to get this clutter out of my house.

By the way Jenny, I'll probably want another one for the next tournament. :D (what do you mean "you have to pay for it this time"?)

Posters from all the past WKC (http://www.kendo.or.jp/japanese/result/12wkc/07_wkc/wkc_index.html)

There aren't a lot of Taikai going on outside Japan, so I guess they don't really need posters... In Japan most of their Taikai posters are very well-illustrated, as they know what they are doing.

@AlexM: Okay now you are talking! Erhm... I don't feel like an exhibitionist but there you go.

I did some Kendo-art just for fun... The spiral one is done a year ago... (Some of you had seen it before. It's my customized mailing paper.)

The McGill poster is not that well-made. Mmm what do you expect, if I only had 3 hours to work on it without pay! Phorest, if you want one I can send you the file.

Enjoy :D

My sister is moving to San Diego in a few weeks only. I won't visit her until I have some money and time (Alex is both busy and poor... I don't recommend it). Besides, you don't want to see my kendo right now. It's really hopeless. I stink (both figuratively and literally... man it's hot here).

Anyway, when I do go out to Cali I thought I might start in San Diego and drive my way up to my aunt and uncle's place in Elk (pop. 18), which would mean I could basically do the dojos in San Diego, L.A. and that well known one in Palo Alto.

I really want to come visit, I'm not sure I'll like L.A. as a city but I'm sure the kendo will be at the very least challenging. I better see some kurukuru waza when I'm there or I'll be damned disapointed!

Sorry for taking this thread off course. We now return you to your regularly scheduled discussion on where to get kendo posters.

Sort of on this thread, I would like to have a life-size poster of a nihoto with the parts labeled, either a line diagram like the one in the AJKF kendo dictionary or a photograph with labels added, preferably in english. Anybody know of anyplace that has such a thing?

If you know of any particular images, I can make you a pretty wicked poster. :)

Then again, I may just be overconfident in my graphic design abilities.
