My question is, has anyone ever shipped (or received) a package by surface mail (funabin) from Japan to the US and how long did it take? Not E.M.S., not airmail, not UPS, not Fed Ex, not SAL.

Japan to Canada takes one month, sometimes a week or two longer. I suspect the US is similar.

Yeah I've sent both ways several times. It takes about two month usually, but once I have had my stuff arrive a month late. Pack what ever you are sending real tight, because it gets pretty beat up.

My funabin came back alright with no damage at all. Nice and happy. Send home all the stuff you won't be needing for awhile since it may take 4 to 6 weeks, but mine took 8. Actually, only one box took 8 weeks. The others came within 6 weeks. Funny thing is, they were all sent together. To the States that is...

If it takes more than 30 days to Canada I start to think maybe it's lost or something.
