View Full Version : Last night i had a dream......

It was a hypothetical one too. It is completely unrealistic. I dont want anyone refuting this as some teaching, it is purely an open minding thought i would like to share and discuss.
The dream went on to be, :ermm:
If we could live for say 500 years, and the human body is in perfect state until the start of the 451st year of the human body, as it starts declining in physical strength after 450 years.
We do kendo/kenjutsu/iaijutsu for 450 years and the interesting thought overcame me, in wondering if we would ever reach a speed and accuracy 10-100 times greater than the masters of this earth that have just lived for ~80 years.
So hypothetically speaking, if that were the case, would we be able to cut bullets? Be a form of what the matrix showed? the Zen philosophy provided shows of "Expand your mind, think outside the box, no mind?" and the ki ken tai no ichi combined with the zen for all that time would make you possibly do such feats.
Have a thought. :puzzled:

Well done, you have achieved through being a dopey little idiot, what previously has only been achieved by being a racist.

Han, i thought you were RAAF recruit pilot??? where do you have time to come up with stuff like this? these are the dreams of an 8 year old. you are 19; your dreams should be grounded in reality.
I don't understand why you are obsessed with exposing yourself to flames & personality attacks.

Its just a hypothetical thought?
I am a RAAF recruit pilot, but at the way things are going with the government order, and of which direction ALL the Air Forces or Military forces in general are going, because of this so called "World War 3" thats going to happen, im having second thoughts on whether its worth it.
Some 20,000 people left the RAAF 2 years ago. We are in huge needs of people.

Its been my long ambition in life to be a military fighter pilot after my grandfather who was in WWII. Ive worked towards it, i have earned the grades for it (except TEE english....you all know how stupid that subject is), and yeah i got in as a recruit through the AAFC.
Something hit me, right after i joined. I slowly got out, seeing the way things were, as opposed to 5 years ago in the way things were. What i am saying is that even inside our very own military atmospheres, its not the same, because of all the great leaders leaving, and these noobs just coming in and filling the places.
So i can always go back, but im doing multimedia engineering in TAFE as a side degree to see where i should go.
I still cant wait to join kendo in july :D

Here are the requirements needed to be accepted as recruit pilot in the RAAF.
http://www.defencejobs.gov.au/default.asp?p=48&j=297
But I do not know the australian school system. What is year 12 ?
In France, those who have been accepted spent at least two years of full time school work, and had certainly no time to make videos like Kendoka_Han's.
I spent those two years, not to become pilot but engineer.

Year 12 is 12 years of schooling, and then its onto TAFE or UNI.

Theres only one photo of me in the AAFC as LCDT, with a group of others at Pearce Air Force base, in front of a PC-9 aircraft. I need a scanner to scan the image.

I know a couple of ex-RAAF guys. I'll ask them if that's really possible to jump in and out like that. I suspect that they will say no.

I don't think living 450 years would make you fly or become a superman.
Trees live for more than that and you don't see them flying around

Kendoka Han:
I think it is safe to say:
Before anyone will provide you with one shred of respect FOREVER on this forum, you must either:
1. Admit you lied about having *any* rank in Kendo OR
2. Produce a photo of your Menjo, which of course will prove difficult, because you LIED.
Until that time, no one hear gives two breaths on what you have to say, think or write, unless it is to say, "I'm sorry I was a complete arse. I have never studied Kendo, and I want to wipe the slate clean and be more of an honest person, please help me."
Then, remove the silly-assed, infantile youtube videos, stop smoking wigety-grubs, and either go to a real Dojo, or begone.
Otherwise, you shall remain fodder for the butts of our jokes until which at time we tire of you (and I think that time has passed) and someone zaps your account.

The vid of Kendoka_Han's rep:
the ground is hard (http://www.lookatvideo.com/limites/lebourget.asf)
During a few seconds, it climbs.
Then it falls straight to ground.
After it is Science-Fiction:
He try to pull up (might he be really a RAAF recruit ?) but it is too late.
His only solution is ejection.

may I ask if you expected people to answer that seriously? Or did you just want to provoke a reaction? If the former: (slightly based on an interview with a hachidan off youtube) people get weaker as they get older. 90 year old men are not stronger or faster, they can develop an intuitive understanding of their opponent and win without strength but thats not much use against a bullet. The human body has evolved to last long enough to bear a couple of kids and support them until they're adults (about 15 years old in prehistoric terms). A 450 year old body would be very debilitated, I would be amazed if they could stand and lift a sword.
If the latter, you deserve what you get :(

Sorry, just reread your post, even if your body was perfect up to 149 the human body doesn't move that quick.
