I hope I'm not embarrassing Stroud Sensei here, but I'm sure many of us would like to take the opportunity to congratulate him on passing his 7 Dan examinations.
Way to go, Sensei! What a huge achievement! The 4 dan challenge in front of me seems like such a small hurdle in comparison to what you've accomplished, I am inspired to try harder.

My most sincere congratulations to Stroud-sensei and the other achievers. It is not an every day’s event that this country gets a new Kendo nanadan.

Congratulations indeed are due to OUR Sensei. Sorry Paikea, but he moved on. ;-)
He told me that he went into the test with no expectations. Maybe that's a clue for the rest of us when we test.

I look forward to your visit on Sunday and reccieving some much-needed advice. ;)
(Side note: I am fairly sure that he passed during the AUSKF post-board meeting shinsa. Correct me if I am wrong, however.)
