Takamori

Hey i'm doing a reseach topic on Saigo Takamori and i'm just looking for some source books or documents, i have "The Last Samurai: The Life and Battles of Saigo Takamori" by Mark Ravina, "The Making Of Modern Japan" by Marius B. Jansen.

Can anyone else recomend me some more souces??

The Ravina book is good. Not heard of the one by Charles Yates.

I've a book at home 'World of the Samurai' that cover the whole history briefly, methinks there last chapter covers takamori to a certain extent (not in great depth), I can bring in for you on wed practice if you want
