One month to go before the new term start. While preparing for a new project, I get bored (err, as usual) and started designing a Kendo T-shirt...
I know what the image will be, but not the text at the back. So come on people!!! At the moment I can only temporarily put "Tada Ichigeki ni kakeru" there... (it's the title of that NHK Eiga documentary...) Please think of something fun to print at the back :silly:

Good lord that looks fantastic - I know its a personal project but given the lack and low quality of kendo T-shirts, I'd really love to have one myself. :D - even more so if you made it in black.
Great job! I want one!

"Wanna go?" In this case "go" means "fight". I think the rude Japanese equivalent is "kakatte koi?" (spel?).
or
"Tsuki means never having to say you're sorry"
or
"Kendoka do it with zanshin"
I'm lacking inspiration... so sue me.

"Just Kendo it" (yes its a takeoff of on aru-ma's)
"Japan vs. Korea. Kendo vs. Kumdo. Sword vs. Sword" cheezy I know... :bored:
"Poetry in Motion"
"Kendo is like sex in reverse order. Smack each other for a while, THEN get drunk" :spchless: ok ok that was off-color.
or the classic "Munen Muso Meikyo Shisui"
"Kendo: A Sport? A Fight to the Death? Yes."
Thats all I can think of for now. And yes, all of those are terrible...its late.
I'd like to buy that tshirt too, and I second the motion for black/navy blue.

I was along the lines of...
"I LOVE KENDO"
"I LOVE EIGA!!"
"Eiga no Hisatsu Waza... TSUKI~~~!!"
"This is what is in my bag"
:D
p.s. Highly possible that I can print this tee manually... If I have time + equipment I'll try when the school term starts in Oct.

Mingshi - nice graphic. Please add me to the list - Navy or Black is my vote for color regardless of what's written on the back...lots of good suggestions so far. OW you rock.
If you hand pull the screens - will you be signing and numbering them?

OK here goes...
"Hana Wa Sakuragi Hito Wa Bushi"
-- I'm pretty sure this means something like "The cherry blossom is the flower of flowers, and the samurai is the man among men." I have been told that this basically means that both have great beauty but are very short lived.
or how about
"Got Zanshin?"
-- "Sutemi" or "Mushin" might work nicely here too.
Cool Tshirt! Be sure to post if you get it into production, you'll probably get a few orders from your pals at the KWF, myself included!

You could print the playoff bracket for the men's team 12 WKC with the names of each country written in the proper place. It's a rip-off idea from a Final Four t-shirt I saw.

Well if I were to make a spiffy T-shirt it would have the word/kanji of "imo" or "jagaimo". Jagaimo might work better since "imo", I hear, can also be a derogatory term for a person from the country side. Jagaimo also taste better, like sweet artichoke hearts.
Now hear me out on this. What other root do you know of that could kill tons of people by doing absolutely nothing? And by nothing, I mean not growing. And they also control the events of the world.
Not only are they mass murderers but by doing so they aided in the immigration of many Irish to the United states. And they were also used to feed many troops who fought in wars which also shaped our world. You may not see the omnipotents of this glorious "food" but they have already been genetically mutated into a more superior form. Given time, you will all see... yes, soon.
And as a final note, they are full of carbohydrates for use in your rigorous kendo practice. They provide the energy for that beautiful, perfect strike.
mmmm..... potatos
