Hi,
There seems to be a distinct lack of French Kenshi on KWF, but does anyone know of any good Kendo Dojo's in Paris. I guess there will be some. But I'm looking for recommendations. I will be over in Paris from the 27/10 - 1/11, so if any Dojo's are practicing then could you please let me know.
I am going to have a look on the French Assoc web site but as I said just looking for recomendations.
Cheers

Hi Gareth,
try Kenyu Dojo in Paris.
It is run by Yoshinori INOUE Sensei.
He speaks english and is a very good teacher (and person).
Here is a link to the English version of their site.

Cheers James,
That's perfect looks like I will be staying a couple of hundred yards down the road. So that is spot on.

Glad to be of help,
FYI Inoue sensei is one of the guys in Paul Budden's kata book, and a regular at the Sumi seminar etc. he will make you welcome I'm sure.
Yes I was at squad, recognisable by my shaved head.
See you next time.

The reason why french people lack in KWF is because the french rather attend to a french kendo forum...which exists, but I have forgotten the link...(they'd rather speak in french than converse in english that goes the same with internet forums I guess),....anyways for some people still searching
for clubs or dojos in Paris check out this websites - 1.) www.budo11.net (http://www.budo11.net) 2.)http://kenyu.free.fr/ both websites have a language option for english and french though the english options are quite limited in information....it will help if you understand French, for a more broad and/or thorough search check http://www.ffjudo.com/ in this website you can check for information on KENDO,judo, iaido, naginata, jodo and chanbara dojos in and outside Paris, down side is its just in French(je suis desole le site est juste en francais, pas de anglais)....anyways hope that helps for anyone looking for kendo clubs and dojos in Paris,France!

The french "forum" is crap (only works by emails, not posts like here).
And yes, many french ppl are too proud / lazy / stupid to make an effort and try to speak english.
Fortunately they're not all like that
