We had a multi-art festival hosted by our Capital Area Budokai dojo last Saturday. Among the demonstrations were kendo and naginata, along with jodo, batto-do, yagyu shinkage ryu, and more.

The following are clips of some shiai. Three of them are isshu-jiai between naginata and kendo. I hope you all will find them interesting. I don't claim that they represent the pinnacle of either art or anything, so be gentle. :)

FYI-In the kendo-only match, our practice leader called out points for the audience, and was probably a tad generous to make it exciting for them...so again be gentle.

PS-I am the guy doing nito. Constructive criticism welcome.

Like your sig, thoses clips seem a bit out of context.

Dont worry about it, stick it up on some utube groups for feedback.

PS-I am the guy doing nito. Constructive criticism welcome.Your footwork isn't strong enough to support nito yet. You need quite a bit more time in chudan.

I would also add that in the nito vs naginata match, the naginata player is a yondan and that they don't do taiatari in naginata, which is a hard habit to break particularaly when you have someone with much longer reach than you do.
