I was just wondering what people's favorite moves are.
For me, it's men-do. Sometimes I go to jodan before I do the men cut and catches the men just before it hits and then do a do. (looks confusing with all these do's, haha) Works quite well, especially if they like to block a lot. Usually I exert a lot of pressure when I do it, so, most people try to block the men and leave the do open. The thing is, though, I've never scored once with this waza. I've gotten a few one flaggers in the tournaments i've been to, but never a real point. My sensei told me I duck my head down when I did the do, that's why I didn't get the point. I think I've fixed it though. I'll try it in the next tournament I go to.
I haven't been doing this waza very often lately though, since I'm trying to get better with the single men strike (hardest waza in kendo in my opinion).
