hi everybody ...
i just wanna order a bogu set for myself (i still have to decide from where!!)
i am living in italy and i have ordered my gi+hakama+shinai before from kendoshop.com in which i didnt pay any taxes when it was delivered to me by FEDEX
now i wonder if i order a bogu from america or japan do you know if i have to pay taxes ??

does anyone know if you pay taxes

It's usually a bit of a lottery, whether your own country's Tax people examine your parcel and decide to tax you.

In Canada if it comes by postal service, then we may or may not get hit with duty and taxes. If it comes by courier (EMS or whatever) then its guaranteed as the couriers use brokerage services and those guys always do the paperwork. In the case of the post office, it arrives COD and we have to pay up front. EMS case we get a bill as much as a month later from the brokerage service.
