I see your point, but you should complain to the people who uploaded the videos. I just created a playlist.

'"Droit d'auteur" is the word you're looking.

What's "revised" about them?
They look exactly like the ones I've been doing for more than 10 years.

Yeah, these are the same Kata that I have known for the past 3 years. I remember them talking about revised kata at the seminar where they all start at chudan though.

Actualy, there was an AJKF revision few years ago. But only some small details were changed. This is a bit out of my league, but here is what I remember from a seminar in 2001 with the late Ando-sensei, who was in the comittee, which made these revisions:
- in yonhonme, uchidachi and shidachi used to cross swords at about one third of the blades from the tips - if they completed the cuts, they would miss each other. They lowered swords to chudan and continued on. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7_JEeEdUs0
Now they cross sword at about one third of the blades from the tsubas, so they are in the "hiting range" and as they lower the swords uchidachi has to take a step back, to gain distance for the tsuki and also to get out of the danger zone. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_6X7G7T8vL0. Ando sensei explained, they changed this, because people quite often did not understand why they should cut in front of the oponent.
- in kodachi ipponme, there used to be a small "pause" after the first three steps forward (As sensei explained, uchidachi made pressure threatening to cut from jodan, while shidachi threatened to make irimi) and than uchidachi made his cut. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XWzdIpayeFk (you have to fast forward it to kodachi ipponme) Now, there is no pause, uchidachi cuts immediately, like one-two-three-cut. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otgkYOEZDoY
There are probably more revisions, I have problems to remember what was a change and what was just a thing I didn't know before. But these two are quite clear.
Perhaps some more experienced Kendoka can elaborate more.

y'know... I *did* actually notice on kodachi ipponme that there was no pause from the video..
And.. oh boy... is this gonna turn into another "kata yohonme.. what the hell is up there" thread?
hahahaa
