First of all, lets get the laughter over with,
Here is the pic (http://420.thrashbarg.net/1140088007447.jpg)

Though funny at first, there were some things that troubled me...
first of all, with my limited anime-knowlegde, I don't seem to recognize any of the characters.
Especially the one on the right. That's right. The purple one. Although an elaborate costume, with the axe and all, I kind of seem to miss the point alltogether.
Secondly, the "man" next to mrs-purple-bug-with-axe striking a compelling pose. I have a note for him: Your balls are showing. So is your beard.

I could go on like this but I gotta run. Feel free to post theories on why, where and who ... This is the greatest mystery since stonehenge

I attend the Greenwich Village Halloween Parade (http://www.halloween-nyc.com/) every other year. Nothing disturbs me :D

The purple dude is azaroth from soul calibur. Some of the other ppl come from King of Fighters. Thank you. I'm now blind from seeing that sakura trans-camel toe. Before being a Kendo addict I was a pro fighting game player. Not bragging just ashamed...

Hey man, have some fun! On the 10th & 11th novenber, we'll be around 80 guys and girls of my school to dress up ourselves and our cars. Last year I drove 1000km dressed in some kind of Monthy Python's knight (we had the coconuts), and this year I'll look like a "very heavily irradiated Tchernobyl worker":alien:.

I think that their dresses are great :D.

A knight from Monty Python is acceptable or everyday attire. However dressing up as sailor moon is NEVER acceptable

I am proud to say that I have no idea what this is all about.

There was some sort of anime/video game conference in Winnipeg not long ago. It was held in the building where I normally park for work, and I forgot that it was going on. Needless to say I was a little shocked when I got off the elevator - but the looks I got for wearing normal clothes were almost scathing. Ah well, to each his own. I just didn't realize so many people got so involved with cartoons or games.

Oh my god! I am not the only one who dresses up like Astaroth! A friend, yay! :D

WORMS!

Soul Calibre II/III are awesome fighting games. Far superior to Tekken.

I think that the one on the far left is supposed to be Ryu

Couldn't help but comment,
You can't compare those games, Namco develops both for an obvious reason, one is weapons fighting game and the other is a hand to hand fighting one, and yes both are far superior to any 3D fighting games out there :smoker:

Back to The Drag-queenned fighting video game characters show subject.....

Well, I'm not sure what the correct terminology is for these types of get-togethers. I've been to enough business conventions, conferences, shows, etc., to know that there's usually lots of people, schwag, and schmoozing. I pretty much lump them all together - no offense.

Then again, I get all drooly and excited when a bike show comes to town. Booth girls, chain ring keychains, IMBA stickers and socks, oh my!

what striked me as odd, (well odder then the general oddness of the picture) is that the guy with the balls showing seems to have taken the effort to shave his leghair, but still has his chin full of pubes ...
Also the fat kid crouched, has a really disturbed look. I wonder what's his story

being in a kendo club, naturally i know a few people in the club who do this. they seem all right, and as long as they dont bring the ninjer attitude into the dojo (they dont, if they had any), it's all good.

oooeee :D now there's an idea! :p Always funny to confuse people with weird kiai :D
Pokemon seem a great source for disturbing kiai :) perhaps watching a few episodes of the cartoon could help my kendo :D

I agree that those cosplayers were kind of disturbing. The ones at the WKC arena were of much higher quality, mini-skirts on guys is just wrong, mini-skirts on girls on the other hand...

To those in Japan: aren't the cosplay thingies, events and stuff all just a bunch of dirty dirty people wanting to get more dirty with each other?

If so, sounds awesome. I'll put on my Zangief pants and go for a wander looking for some PVC clad ladies....... :D

I would think that for Scotsmen, the dress wearing aspect would be acceptable.
