I was reading the the sWords of Wisdom article on the site aboubt Saito Denkibo. (excellent story; thanks for posting some past articles) I was wondering how Tendo-ryu developed when it's founder was struck down at the age of 38? Also how is it that Tendo-ryu ended up here, in Kansai? Did he just return to Hitachi to show off or was his intent to stay there? I am just trying to imagine the time span from when left to when he returned, and also how long he was in Hitachi before he was killed.
