In my search for any sort of online fiction stories around the subject of Kendo, I fell upon one of the Choose Your Own Adventure (http://www.amazon.com/MASTER-KENDO-CYOA-Choose-Adventure/dp/0553567462) books on the subject of Kendo. These were some of my favorite books to read as a child, but I don't remember coming across this one.

For those of you that don't know, the concept of the series is quite simple. You just read a few pages, then you are given two or three choices as to where you go next by turning to the specified page. The overall goal was to make the right choice and get to the good ending. No matter where you go, you always got the bad ones so most just cheat to get down that path...or you were just very lucky.

On that similar subject, I've thought about making some sort of Kendo related fanfiction of my own. Some issues that are stopping me is the factor of time and that I'm not much of a literary writer. But, I guess we all have to start somewhere, lol.

I always cheated on those!! Ran out of fingers to hold all of the various options open!! It would be pretty cool to have one of those kendo related, I would hope to get the hachidan ending..., but would probably end up with the horrible ending...

If you write one put it online or something. But be warned i tried to write one of those books once, they are devilishly difficult to write plots etc for and get everything all cooridnated, drives you crazy!! Better off spending the time at kendo instead...

If someone said that they didn't cheat on those, then they were lying :).

I have considered all the difficulties for writing though as I don't even know what I will write about. I did write some stories about Megaman in High School, but it's been largely technical writings for the years after that, lol. I dunno, we'll see how things go. I barely have time for the things I do now, so I could imagine it hard being able to plan out a book and all that jazz.

If you choose tsuki, go to page 84

If you choose kote, go to page 96

when i was in high school, for a computer lab project, I used Basic to create a computer version of a choose your own adventure book. It came out to be about 10 pages of code for a short adventure--I remember being really involved in the project & it was fun making it. :)
