I just wanted to know guys, was phospherous always eliminated from the steel in antique nihonto and recently made nihonto? I read that they used chickens back in ancient Japan to get rid of the phospherous in steel. Cant remember exactly how it was done, something to do with the chicken dung....!
Are there nihonto that have phospherous in them?
