Recently I got a video camera and it has been the best investment for my kendo. After a taping, watching (especially in slow-motion and with your teachers), doing keiko for a week and taping again vast improvements are noticed. Has anyone else tried this?

With video, reality is thrown right at you! If you have access to a video camera give it a go! It's a great teaching aid!

I haven't done it with Kendo, but it has become standard for wrestling. It does make a big difference.

I think it's very good idea to tape our own kendo.

But, it's always depressing a little to see our posture and kiai on screen.

Yup! It sure does. It makes a hell of a difference and can add to your image training. :)

I think also that video should use more for assistance kendo practice. I have use the video recording in our kendo club. We have clear benefits for using it
