I'll take this one.
Pascal Krieger is a Swiss Menkyo Kaiden of Shinto Muso-ryu Jodo and has been training Jodo for about 40 years. He traces his lineage from Shimizu Takaji Sensei up until his death and then later he trained under Nishioka Tsuneo Sensei. Pascal is the co-founder of the European Jodo Federation (http://www.fej.ch/en/news.htm) which is a member of the International Jodo Federation. A large number of Jodoka in Europe is directly connected to the EJF (including my own dojo).

Do I correctly assume that you are the "Fred26" for the wiki entries?

It's really nice to see someone who is clearly built like a brick outhouse, not relying on strength at all but just beautiful, clean and effortless technique.

i have always loved the quick thrust to the arm pit to stop a pending sword blow. Its great to see someone use it so perfect. I wish There was a jodo dojo here in colorado.

That is the quietest dojo ever! It's like a library.

That's where I do kendo when I'm back home! Nice to see it gain some fame on yube...;)
Not sure how many people speak French here, but there's a really good documentary about Kreiger sensei that was shown on swiss tv a while back. You can watch it here: http://www.tsr.ch/tsr/index.html?siteSect=348101&sid=7112053&cKey=1159450066000

Really good find! I would love for someone to create a translation and re-post in YouTube.
By the way, did you guys see him doing calligraphy in the beginning? This is one of the hidden perks of going to EJF seminares. He almost always sets aside some time to teach calligraphy.
*edit*
I think the iaido-monkeys can also find some cool bits in this clip as PK learned Muso Shinden-ryu from Kuroda Sensei and demonstrates some of it.

As far as I'm aware, he teaches iaido, judo and shodo as well as jodo in Geneva. Very talented bloke by all accounts...
He mentions in the documentary, that when he went to learn iai in Japan, his teacher (can't remember who it was) refused to teach him sword until he was learning calligraphy. Maybe this is why he sees it as something to teach at jodo seminars...

Yep. PK started out with Judo as I recall. When PK got to Japan he hooked up with Donn Draeger and Shimizu Takaji Sensei. (here is a photo (http://www.fej.ch/en/tea-pkrieger.htm) of them both from the EJF website.) Pascals Iai/calligraphy-teacher was Kuroda Ichitaro Sensei. It's stated that Kuroda Sensei held 10th dan in Kendo, Jodo, Iaido and Shodo.
