Hi, I am about to buy some bogu, but I was wondering, I am not exactly sure about all my stats for the size of it. I measured myself with a piece of string and a ruler, they are not 100% accurate so I was wondering whether or not it owuld make a difference when I place my order for the Bogu? thanks for your time.

(I am about 5ft 10 inches (maybe a little taller), weigh about 13 stone. )

Probably not. If your going for a deluxe hand stitched kit that is made just for you, then i would be as accurate as possible, but if its a pre-made machine stitched kit the chances are their (the bogu shop) just going to match the measurments you give to an already prepared kit. For instance, the kote will be set as a size, as apposed to a specific centimeter, like *small*large*XL and so on. Your "DO" will also be a standard adult size, as well as "TARE". So your real concern here is mainly the "MEN"...just get as close as you can, and make sure your measuring the right parts of your head!!!!

thanks Nishi, I'll probably ask for some help with the head again, just to make sure I measured it as accurate as possible

A flexible tape measure (the kind used in sewing) is seriously about $2. Very cheap and worth it for accurate measurements!

You could always go to a tailor and pretend you want to get measured for a $10,000 suit and then change your mind once you have the measurements!

Nishi's right. Just make sure your men fits properly. That's the most important part anyway. May I suggest these sites?

www.e-bogu.com
www.kendoshop.com
www.e-kendo.com
www.bogubag.com

Do any of u guys know more sites out there? These are the ones that most people are familiar with.
