I've not been on in a few monthish... but DAM this is a weird place... Much of the conversations are just pointless? loads of people argueing over severe quantities of crap that really if worse came to worse, nobody gives a shet over anyway.

Most answers in kendo are to do what the person guiding you does or ask his(/her) opinion. Sure a bit of conversation helps and in some cases wont hurt but really who is qualified to ACTUALLY argue about Kendo?

Therefore i guess a discussion board about a subject / sport / MA that is all but impossible to discuss is a lil bit daft!

Or maybe thats what makes it such a good newb hunting ground ;)

Discuss plzzzzzzzzzzzz

Good questions generate good discussions. Eventually everything will be discussed to death and then it degenerates into junk again because there isn't anything more to add. You need a good filter to read what is useful to you and ignore the rest. If the content is poor, people need to step up and start asking good questions. There seems to be an ebb and flow of when there is lots good to read and lots of crap to read. At least that is what I have seen for the past few years.

Basically, read what speaks to you. Contribute quality content to make quality content grow.

Let me guess, you saw the religious threads? Ask Dr. Prof. Soke 10th dan KendoIndia for more great ideas on how to get lengthy, crap-filled threads going(and not post in them). As for arguing over kendo stuff, can you give me an example? I'm not being a smartass, I just can't remember any waza, or concept threads where people started going at it. If they did, oh well, I learn kendo at a dojo, not on the internet, so that stuff is silly anyway.

there's a reason this place is called "Flames" and not "Intellegent Discussion"
