Not the best example but I think I heard from a cartoon that it translates into "desperation move"
I guess maybe hiki waza could be considered this because of the risk involved

hissatsu waza? If I remember all my Japanese video game and manga terminology correctly, it means a finishing technique and therefore has little to do with kendo unless you are getting that last point in encho.

My kyuukyoku no hiougi is kyouletsu na shinai nage followed by a chishi-taiatali.
Usage varies though.

"Hissatsu waza" means a "technique of certain death" more or less.
"Hissatsu" is made up from hitsu (certain, definite) and satsu (to kill). "Waza" is "technique".
An instructor might show you a technique and say it is a "hissatsu waza". This is probably a slightly colourful way of saying that if you use that technique you will always score.
The kanji for hissatsu waza are 必殺技
The Goo dictionary definition of hissatsu is
ひっさつ 0 【必殺】
相手を必ず殺すこと。また、その意気込み。
「―の剣」「―技」
Translated this is
Hissatsu (必殺)
To kill the opponent without fail, or that determination (intention)

I'm getting to a point where kendo is becoming dull. I need to do something to spice it up, and if it means to make up waza and applying AWESOME names to them, then that's what I'll do! These waza actually work too. HAHAHA
