Too true, a great man. A great Philanthropist. Though I believe Eric Shipton should have been leading the expedition when he and Norgay summited Everest. That comment is not meant to detract from Hillary's achievments at all, after all,...he gave 2 Family members and a big part of his life to improve schooling etc in Nepal. Not to mention the work he did elsewhere.

Definitely, he was a great man. A great climber and someone who set the bar high. I read about his climb when I was a kid and it stuck with me all of this time.
