I can vouch for the Mori Budogu 'musyobou' ( hygienic ) set. It's fabulous stuff, and Mr. Mori is a great person to deal with. This 'Phantom' stuff is of Taiwanese ( pseudo-Korean ) origin.

Is there a link to the MC-75 set on their website, I can't seem to find it although I feel like I am overlooking something obvious...

well guys, don't let the label mislead you. a lot of bogu (even the handmade ones) out of japan has korean made components in it since many japanese manufacturers outsource certain labor to korea since korean craftsman's level is quite high with cheaper labor costs.

a 100% purely japanese artisan made bogu? that must be reeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaally expensive. i'm thinking $15,000+

Maybe a more interesting comparison would be the MC-75 set versus Koei's S-22 set. Both are machine made ~3mm sets that seemed to have gotten a lot of praise. Any thoughts on that?
