View Full Version : Why do you never see...
...zombies in the snow? After another broken nights sleep I drifted off on the train and was dreaming about it having snowed and for some reason believed I was being chased by zombies but couldn't visualise them at all in conjunction with the snow. I saw 28 Weeks Later the other daye, which I know isn't a zombie flick but it's where they're coming from. I may not have seen enough zombie films but has there ever been one in the snow?
Saying that I believe Lemony Snicket in his 'un-authorized biography' mentions a film called Zombie Snowmen, but that's not exactly zombies in the snow...
You may have an answer, you may never have seen something you want to share or you may not have an opinion, three options there.
Zombies have trouble maintaining body heat (being dead and all), so they spend the winter indoors writing Java code for desktop applications, this suits them greatly because unlike us they are unable to loose the will to live.
And they are really nice people once you see past the brain eating thing.

+rep for you my friend, as I feel quite zombified this morning.
You'll also see them in the local legislature where they create enough hot air to maintain body heat, but once out of the building quickly lose what little effectiveness they had.

First read this handy information on zombies from a previous thread.http://www.kendo-world.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15676&highlight=zombies (http://http://www.kendo-world.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15676&highlight=zombies) I will be taking your zombie questions one at a time. Yes, I am an expert...I have plenty of patches to prove it. Current question..."Why do you never see zombies in the snow?" The fact is zombies will get you in any weather. These jerks can take bulletts, so you know the cold isn't stopping them. The cold will stop killer bees however. If anything, zombies are more dangerous in the snow, as they make less noise, making it easier to sneak up on the living. If you get a lot of ice, this can be to your advantage. Zombies are haphazard little critters, and in their blind attempts to rush in for the kill, they will most likely just slip and bust their head wide open. Oh, those silly zombies!

I can't remember if there was snow in "Stacy: Attack of the Schoolgirl Zombies" but at least they had chainsaws and windchimes.

Were they in snow? If not then it's not that much of a coincidence. I am only after zombies in snow, similarly zombies underwater do not interest me, please stick to the requirements. Alternatively do you know where I can get a 'Pirate Memory Game for ages 4-6'? Thanks.

Zombies dislike the snow because their prey (us) tend to be wrapped up in parkers with balcovers and goggles. Making it much more difficult for tem to feed.
Zombie safety tip 4. Never climb a ladder, Zombies have teleport ability which allow them to cover greater distances when you turn your back and start climbing. Climbing a ladder will usually result in you having your leg bitten off.

I have never seen it but they must make one.
I'm imagining a film with a similar look to "30 days of night", or "the thing".
Massive snowstorm and a group of people staggering out of the snow.
hey wait they aint people, thems Zombies...
Snow drifts errupting with hands, like the flower picture in Day of the dead..
Normal zobie mayhem in small town
Frostbite and gangrene, necrophying the flesh, allows survivor to escape zombies (they ignore him/her)..
Hooray as he/she releases the flood from nearby dam/ blows up the nearby refinery/calls in airstrike
survivor found amongst wreckage..
unfortunatley dies in medical care..
Zombie mayhem starts up when the "survivor" goes all bitey..

wasn't there a movie with vampires on the north pole or something? vampires, zombies, they're both dead and walking around :)
Y'see Paul gets how iconic a film of zombies in the snow could be I had been thinking of 30 days of night and how that was a new take on vampires although I've only seen the trailer for it. Tell me have the vampires used their immortality wisely and learned martial arts as almost all recent portrayals of the undead have.
As to zombies and vampires being the same, no they are clearly very different, like apples and oranges how can you possibly compare the two.
