Just fancied getting an idea of who to look out for at our impending humiliation erm, i mean grading. It's sneaking up pretty fast.
So, own up.
I'll be there... unless my teacher and his teacher decide to kill me for getting worse since he left! :D
I'll be making an attempt at Shodan so here's hoping i don't make a total arse of it!!

I should have been trying for Ikkyu in March but unfortunately money stopped me getting my BKA membership in time to register or the grading. I'll be there though. I'll be the one making you look good. You can pay me later.

Yeah, it seems a bit crazy to me that we have to pay out so much money at the beginning of the year; we've only just got past Christmas and then bang goes another bundle of cash... even if it were left till end of Jan it would be easier but that's kinda taking it off topic....
I'll be there and Jo if you've got worse then I've literally gone back to nursery, you were totally kicking my butt a few weeks ago!
My two er... pence...

Got my reply re grading today (finally, think they lost it) so I'll be there embarrassing myself for shodan.
Everyone there be nice to Jo, he's testing fro Shodan in Glasgow and the following weekend testing for an aikido ikkyu up here in Aberdeen, talk about hardcore... :)

I'll be there. My first proper grading, ikkyu, if I find a way to get Glasgow at time on Sunday morning...
Mr. Shred Lord, if you like to take picture of my embarrassing moments, I have a couple of 32 gigabytes memory card, not sure if it would be enough to take so many pictures of my performance . You know "this is me when I felt my shinai, and here, I recieved my kirikaeshi without the men, and, in this one, I am using a brush doing kihon because I forgot my bokken at home, and this..."
Good luck Jo, Aberdeen needs you! And looking forward for a intensive beer geiko afterwards ;)

Cool!
Gareth, in order to fully record the humiliation i think you have to invest in another memory card! :)
hehe
Ewan, such kind words... i did bring the thunder ;) :D
Mike, i really don't know what i should be bricking it over... both are going to leave me a bit frazzled! Remember to take a syllabus for me!!!
Marco, it'll be great to see you again buddy. You'll easily get ikkyu. Last time we met you looked on a par so there's nothing to fear.... except fear itself of course.
Hopefully meet you there Gary. :)

That's alright, more time to practice and less nerves when the time comes.

I've had your aikido ikkyu syllabus in my bag for three or four weeks now, waiting for you to remind me for it.... :confused2 I'd be surprised if you were not more than ok, after all, I'm submitting you for ikkyu and I'm also the examiner, I'd have to be a pretty sadistic bastard to fail you really....

Sorry, I'm still recovering from the Haggis and Atholl Brose ingested there back in 2003.

I must say that I rather enjoyed myself and it was sooo nice to get out of London for a while. Congrats to those that passed which was a hell of a lot I must say and comiserations to those that didn't. I can cheerfully attest that Mr Shredlettuce didn't realy have much to go on in regards to capturing humilation on his camera. And so to Watchet!!!.
