Here in the US, we had a lunar eclipse last night (last total one until Dec. 2010, I think), so I thought I'd share some pictures I took from my backyard...

We had one last spring where the moon stayed a strong red for over 5 minutes. It was rather eerie.

Glad you all liked them. And thanks to those who gave me pos rep, too. One of these days my one green bean will become fruitful and multiply... :D

We need to start giving more beans to each other every chance we get, to catch up with beaners like KenZan and others. :D

Here's some of the pictures I took of the eclipse (http://s256.photobucket.com/albums/hh167/DCChin/?action=view¤t=16c6d0aa.pbw). These were taken with my Canon PowerShot A710 with a 4 second exposure time (for those interested).

Most of the time, it's too cloudy here to see them.

Here in the US, we had a lunar eclipse last night
We had clear skies for it here in Toronto, too. Kind of an interesting mix, colour-wise -- the preceding limb was very light early in totality (and got darker as the eclipse progressed), but the maria were very dark.
ObKendo: I missed half of the partial phase leading up to totality due to bogu class, and got home and showered just in time to catch most of the total eclipse.
Nice shots!
I like the red moon... *whisper* someone is gonna die!
Thank you for sharing. It was so overcast here and we stood outside in the freezing California weather (haha) hoping it would clear. The moon was spectacular at midnight eventhough it was well beyond the eclipse.
