Tsukigawa

i just wanted to ask (because my handle is extremely dirty) is there a way to clean/whiten the tsukigawa(leather handle)? everyone i kno says its probably not possible as it would shrink the leather... any pieces of advice?

Don't wash it! You'll just ruin your Tsukagawa.... As well as making the leather physically smoother... Less Grip = Bad...:)

If it bothers you that much just order another one, but you'll be fighting a loosing battle... Everyone's tsukagawa gets discoloured. The only ones which are clean are the new ones, and they don't stay clean for long...

You shold learn to get use to dirty handdle cover. It all part of kendo :D :D :D
