yeah. i found out after the fact as well. i wonder what connection they have with hyun moo kwan.

recently, NYCKC had a visit from Shinotsuka sensei, hanshi 8 dan of Kanagawa police. he played everyone who lined up for like 2 hours straight. his kendo was amazing too.

Kyudokan is sponsoring Matsuoka Sensei ( Kyoshi 7th dan ) on 11/23 at Crestkill dojo. ( Scarsdale on 11/22 ) It'll be 10-12 ( regular session ) and 1-3 ( special session ). If you're interested. I was going to invite Master Seong but I don't know whether he's available on Sunday and whether he is interested in meeting Japanese senseis..

I'm sure Seong sensei will be happy to meet more Japanese senseis. Although I understand that he's probably very busy working on his second dojo.

It's about time I visit some new places. I'll start thinking about a specific date.

Master Seong had a promotion test the day before and was busy on Sunday.
Matsuoka sensei comes once a year but every time I see him, my appreciation for his depth of kowledge and technique gets deeper. He's also very different than Matsubara sensei's way of teaching. Oh well, I'm hoping my Kendo eyes are getting better while my natural eye sight is becoming weaker :-(
Hey, I was hoping to see some of you there ( Sminki, OW ).. maybe next time.
