Hey,
I recently moved to Japan and started studying kendo. Unfortunately my practices are done completely in Japanese and I don't really understand a lot of what my sensei is saying. I am looking for some good books in English that I use to supplement my teachings. Thanks.

This is a good book with all the basics.

Kendo: The Definitive Guide

Two other useful titles are:

Title: This Is Kendo
Author: Junzo Sasamore & Gordon Warner
Publisher: Charles E. Tuttle Co. Inc.
ISBN: 0-8048-1607-7

Title: Japanese-English Dictionary Of Kendo
Author: All Japan Kendo Federation
Publisher: Satou-Inshokan Inc.
ISBN: NONE (order from ZNKR)

This Is Kendo is my favorite as it is the most clear and basic I've read although it is now becomming a bit dated.
