I don't know why... most of them I've seen are on VHS.

in japan at least ....there should be some?
Folks,
As far as I know, publications/media authored by the All-Japan Kendo Federation (ZNKF) do not include any DVDs, only old-style VHS tapes.
I was in Tokyo last week at the 51st AJKC, and ZNKF had a booth there, displaying all their wares. Their whole offering of videos were on VHS, but had plenty of material, ranging from kata demos to judging/referee instructions. Some smaller Japanese budo merchants had kendo video tapes too, but none had DVDs.
I'm surprised that some of the overseas, more "hi-tech" people (ie, e-Bogu) haven't gotten around to digitizing some of the older media and re-releasing them on DVD.
Pamiro - you mean, it's more like listening to eminem on LP. :)

I've converted all my VHS stuff that I've bought from e-bogu to DVD. Bought myself a DVD burner machine that hooks up to the TV like a VCR.. Very handy :-)
