I have not trained anywhere else but from what I hear Kansai (Hyougo/Osaka/Kyoto/Himeji) is one of the best places to train. Of course the Kanto region (Tokyo/Chiba/Saitama/Yokohama) is full of great dojos. Also I hear Kochi ken is good place to train. Probably the most beautiful of the three. But all in all I would have to say any place in Japan is going to be an excellent place to train.
Did you practice with Takenaka sensei at IBU?
