HI!Everyone!
I'm hibakotaro,a new comer of this forum.I'm not American nor English.I'm Asian. So please forgive me if you find that my English is pretty bad ,so is my grammar. The only two languages I can speak fluently are Japanese and Vietnamese.I'm studying at Van Hien university which is located in Ho Chi Minh city,Vietnam.
I,I do very like kendo. The love for japanese martial arts has sprouted in my heart long ago.But in Vietnam,I can't find anywhere to learn kendo,This is not popular in the country where I'm living.the only way to learn is by myself, wandering on the internet searching for the kendo web.But this consumes a lot of time and money.,you know, internet in VN is more expensive than other country, except Japan,i think.
By wanderin' on the internet,I'm just an amateur in kendo.finally,I found this forum.....
So,please, everyone,I need your help. Please instruct me 'bout kendo from basic. Please guide me the basic techniques of kendo, please.
I'll be very gratefull o' your instructions.
Arigatou de gozaimaisu.

OK. Kendo basics!
You can't learn Kendo without a dojo. Doing internet training will not give you any advantage in Kendo when you do visit a dojo. Until you find a dojo in Vietnam, you are out of luck.

Yeap! Its realy hard to learn kendo by internet. The best way is to find a dojo but if you dont have one near you can always try to read books, watch films. There are some kendo books. But books arent the same as real training. Try to find someone who does kendo.
Well honestly I started to train kendo from a book too. It was written by Hiroshi Ozawa(the only one available here in Poland). But when I went to a dojo I learned more on one training than during two weeks training by my own.

I am a Vietnamese but not living there now. I heard there is a Kendo practice in district 10 or 11. I will try to dig the old file for you.

So, LNGUYEN san is NGUYEN PHUC LAM,right?
Unfortunately,in VN there is no kendo dojo.My only one dojo is myhouse, though it's not big enough but everyday I train my karate and judo skills there.
LNGUYEN san has said there's a dojo in dicstrict 10 or 11,where,plase,and tell me 'bout it,name perhaps.
Any way,in VN no kendo guide book is availble. The only one for me is learning from my Japanese friends, but most of 'em dunno 'bout kendo. They like judo.

My name is Nguyen Phuoc Lan. I used to train at Cau Lac Bo Q. Binh Thanh and never knew there is Kendo in Vietnam. However, Kendo already came into Vn a long time ago so there must be some Sensei there. In one of the thread here some one reccommend Sport center district 10, I guess it must be Cau lac bo the duc the thao quan 10 but I am not sure, you have to check it out. Another alternative is to check out Aikido class. Before, I used to see Aikido class in Binh thanh practice with bokuto. Do you practice Judo too?
